The Lung in COPD: What’s Left
ACES (Asthma and COPD Education Solutions) Consortium

How confident are you in differentiating COPD from other chronic respiratory conditions? In this segment entitled The Lung in COPD: What's Left, hear Dr Stokes Peebles speak on improving diagnosis and symptom management in patients with COPD.

Learning Objective: Utilize lung function testing to direct pharmacologic and adjunctive treatment approaches in moderate to severe COPD.

This national CME initiative is a coordinated effort to improve the standards of care for patients with non-contagious chronic respiratory conditions. Receipt of these funds is project based and acknowledged by the partner organizations that are responsible for those identified projects.

Electronic Virtual Meeting for Allied Health Professionals
In response to requests from AAAAI Allied Health members to provide more options to earn CE or CME, the AAAAI is pleased to announce the Electronic Allied Health Virtual Meeting! This package will allow you to view and claim credits from selected Allied Health sponsored educational sessions held at the 2009 and 2010 AAAAI Annual Meetings, at an introductory rate of $25. Non-members may also purchase this package for $49. Internet access is required to purchase this package, view the sessions and claim credits.

Credits can be claimed through March of 2011 for the 2009 sessions, and through March of 2012 for the 2010 sessions. The total credit for this package is over 60 CE, and over 50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits of CME. If you already claimed credit at the Annual Meeting for any sessions listed in this collection, you may not claim credits again.

• Observe new FDA requirements when prescribing the combination therapy of long acting beta agonist and inhaled corticosteroids.
• Correctly diagnose asthma and evaluate the level of asthma control in being treated for asthma.
• Have a greater knowledge base relative to food allergies and learn approaches that will improve their evaluation of patients with suspected food allergy.
• They will be better prepared to care for an allergic emergency such as anaphylaxis that could occur within their office setting.
• They will have a clearer picture of the different forms of immune mediated dermatologic conditions, which will help them diagnose and care for these illnesses.

Harvard Lung Conference and CIMIT Inhalation Technology Conference
